About me: I started my full-time career as a Real-time Power System Dispatcher at the
National Load Dispatch Center (NLDC). For operational activities, we use two different
SCADA operating systems. The main operating system is from Siemens company,
Germany, named Sinaut Spectrum version 4.4 and the backup one is Open3000 from
Nari company, china. Since Jan 2017, I have promoted to energy management system

ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ENGINEER – NATIONAL LOAD DISPATCH CENTRE
Prepare the Short-term and Medium-term Load and water forecast.
Schedule the generation units to minimize the operational cost.
Schedule the tie-line power flow between Sudan-Ethiopia and Sudan-Egypt.
Perform day ahead, three days ahead and week ahead operational scheduling.
Perform annual energy allocation for power plants and interchanges.
Planning Outages and maintenance scheduling generation units and transmission lines.
Provide the dispatch engineers with the daily, weekly and monthly operation plans.
Participates in preparing daily, weekly, monthly and annual report of operation in Sudan’s network.
Conduct training for new engineers/users.
Analyze transmission grid faults as a member of the Fault Analysis Committee.
Measure the performances of power plants using key performance indices and system economic operation
Supervise, monitor, and troubleshoot all of the Energy Management System Applications and databases
A member of the Sudan-Egypt Interconnection Study committee.
